Art, Friendship, and Joy: Aly’s Favorite Way to Shine

Aly spends her days at Githens Center enjoying all kinds of group activities and outings with her peers, but one of her greatest joys at our day program is creating art. She devotes countless hours to drawing and coloring, happily sharing her finished pieces with both staff and friends.

Inspired by the magic of Disney and Pixar films, Aly beams with pride as she shows off her latest creations to everyone in the building. Often, she gives her artwork as heartfelt gifts, brightening the day of those around her with both her talent and her generosity.

“It’s fun to make art and birthday card drawings for staff and friends here at Githens Center,” Aly shared. Visitors who walk our halls will often see her colorful artwork displayed on the walls, filling our spaces with joy, creativity, and a touch of Aly’s spirit.
