Githens Center Honors Kimberly Woodard’s 30 Years of Service!
Githens Center proudly celebrates Kimberly Woodard’s remarkable 30-year journey of service and dedication. For three decades, Kim has touched the lives of individuals with multiple disabilities through her compassion, commitment, and unwavering support.
Kim’s connection to this work began early. At just 14 years old, she volunteered as a preschool assistant and quickly discovered her passion for helping children with disabilities. That spark became a lifelong calling. After completing her studies, she joined Githens Center as a full-time team member—and she’s been making a difference here ever since.
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), and driven by a genuine desire to help others, Kim is committed to ensuring that every individual receives the quality care they deserve. She often shares how meaningful it is to hear gratitude from parents whose children have flourished under her care.
Over the years, Kim has witnessed countless moments of progress—first words, new skills, joyful milestones—and celebrates each one alongside her clients. To her, Githens Center isn’t just a workplace; it’s a second home. The bonds she’s built with clients and colleagues are like family, and they continue to inspire her every day.
Congratulations, Kim, on this incredible milestone, and thank you for your extraordinary heart and dedication to the Githens Center community.
